Avonite Website
Durable and affordable,
Corian®
is a favorite of many people. This
surface is water and stain resistant, non-porous, doesn't encourage growth of
bacteria, mold or mildew, and is easy to clean. Knife cuts and scratches can be
removed with an abrasive cleanser, although they are not designed to be
a cutting surface or a place to rest hot pots and pans.
This durable marble-like material can be shaped to create unique edging details.
It is an excellent material for the kitchen and bath with a wide variety of
colors available.
Corian®
is a product of DuPont and is covered by their 10-year limited warranty.
From the beginning, color has been Avonite's reason to
exist. What began as a flattering replication of quarried stone has
expanded not only in colors but also in blues, opacity, mixtures, and textures.
For designers, Avonite can extend a room's potential. For their clients,
it opens a world full of previously unimagined possibilities. Inside is a
snapshot of Avonite's current offerings.
Butcher Block
Butcher Block
can be added to your countertop or island - which is ideal for the person who is
doing a lot of cooking in their kitchen. Butcher blocks are generally made from
hard rock maple or beech, come in thickness ranging from 1 to 1-1/2 inches and
can be cut in any shape.
Keep in mind, as with all wood products, warping can occur when prolonged
exposure to water occurs. Periodic rubdowns with mineral oil will protect
the finish and preserve luster. Scratches and nicks can be smoothed out
with sandpaper.
Natuaral Stone

Granite and Marble Website
Granite. This is the
material which offers the owner the most. Granite is a natural stone cut
from quarries. Each color comes from a different quarry - and no two quarries
in the world yield the same color! These stones offer an extraordinary
range of colors - from subtle to intense.
Granites durability is unwavering. It is resistant to scratches,
staining, heat blistering or cracking. Not even hot pots and pans
can damage it! Clean up is as simple as warm water and a soft cloth!

Man Made Stones

Caeserstone Website
Silestone Website
Comprised of 93% natural quartz - one
of nature's strongest minerals - and backed by a 10-year warranty, CaesarStone
Quartz Surfaces and Countertops offer the ultimate combination of form and
function, allowing for a more diverse, durable, and practical countertop
surfacing material than either granite or marble. With its stain, scratch, and
heat-resistant properties, CaesarStone is the ideal choice for care-free kitchen
countertops, bathroom vanities, flooring, table tops, wall paneling, and much,
much more.
Silestone counter tops offer some of the same perks
as granite, but many believe they are more beautiful and durable. Silestone
counter tops are made out of natural quartz. With the ranking as the fourth
hardest mineral in nature being held by quartz, these counter tops are known and
loved for their durability. Beyond that, however, silestone counter tops are
also quite beautiful.
With quartz as the main ingredient in these counter
tops, the end result is a surface that's simply breathtaking to behold. Master
craftsman have managed to make these countertops work into a rainbow of colors,
too, ensuring that homeowners can pick the style and design they choose. The
properties of quartz enable the creators of these counter tops to make them as
shiny or flat as a buyer might desire, putting choice squarely in the hands of
the consumer.
